Course Description: This class will be a read through of the books of Jonah and Ruth in the Hebrew. We will be taking a look at the narrative and techniques utilized by two masterful Hebrew classics and analyzing the works linguistically in order to understand the historical time period in which they were written. Time permitting, we will look at the Hebrew portions of the book of Daniel in order to help us see the development of the Hebrew language.

Malachi Walker

Malachi was born and raised outside of Nashville, Tennessee. He received the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and the Humanities from the Pontifical College Josephinum. He is currently enrolled in a Master of Arts program in Ancient Near Eastern Languages at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His language experience includes Latin, Greek, Hebrew, French, Spanish, Arabic, Aramaic, Syriac, and Ugaritic.
