Elementa: Foundations for Latin, Student Paperback Textbook (2nd edition)

Elementa: Foundations for Latin, is the 2nd edition textbook in our curriculum for elementary and middle school students. This textbook offers the opportunity to incorporate Latin into literacy instruction. Hands-on learning materials and scripted lessons make the Elementa curriculum fun, engaging, and simple to use. 

Through Elementa, we teach the basics of​ ​Latin grammar and vocabulary​ ​and provide students with the​ ​tools​ ​to​ improve their mastery​ of ​English and Spanish​ ​(and​ ​other languages!).​ An equally crucial goal of the curriculum is to expose​ ​students​ ​to​ Roman culture ​and​ inspire their curiosity for ​the​ ​ancient​ ​world at large. The second edition includes additional and scaffolded exercises, expanded content, and primary sources with new authors introduced in every unit.

Elementa can be used by teachers of all backgrounds regardless of their previous experience with Latin. The curriculum is flexible and easy to implement in a variety of contexts. The textbook is accompanied by a suite of complementary materials, available here.
